The Center for Local Government Excellence program will be November 2-3, 2022!
The Center for Local Government Excellence program will be on Wednesday and Thursday, November 2-3, 2022.
Great news: The November session will be both in-person, at the LITE Center near ULL’s campus in Lafayette, and live-streamed! Wednesday’s program will run from 8:45 AM until 4:30 PM, and Thursday we’ll begin at 8:15 AM and finish at 12:10 PM, in time for lunch.
You asked for it and we’re delivering: Wednesday’s program is the Level 3 courses we promised 7 years ago when this program began, and includes topics such as the requests for proposals, contracts, and Public Bid Law; the accounting and financial cycle, the audit process, grants administration, and financing options for local governments. We’ve invited dynamic guest speakers, our Louisiana experts, to present some of these topics. We hope that all of you who attended Level 1 and 2 programs in the past will be able to join us Wednesday so you can receive your Certificate of Completion of the entire program.
Thursday’s topics include a legal update, fiscal health and sustainability, statewide agreed-upon procedures, and developing people skills.
Registration is now open and attendance at the LITE will be on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 175 people, so you’ll want to register early. As always this educational training, which will offer 10 hours of CPE credit, is offered to you free of charge.
